The Cheshire Cheese is a local pub situated in the heart of London. Offering a range of reasonably priced ales, lagers and wines - along with great pub food that is served until 10pm. The East India Arms on Fenchurch Street is the only building left in the City with a direct link to the East India Company, dating to 1829 on a site that housed the Magpie Ale House from at least 1645. It's a stop on the City of London Welcome to the Empire walking tour. Inside, wooden floors and old photographs keep the traditional feel, and the pub serves cask ales with classic bar snacks rather than a full menu. It's close to Fenchurch Street station and the Tower of London.
